Cleansing lash extensions is crucial to maintain their longevity and ensure eye health. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to properly cleanse lash extensions:
Materials Needed:
1. LB Sensei lash cleansing kit.
2. Cleansing brush or a clean spoolie brush.
3. Soft clean towels.
4. Water.
5. Fan, soft towel or hair dryer on cool setting.
Steps:
1. Remove Makeup:
• Gently remove any eye makeup with an oil-free makeup remover or water-based baby wipes.
• Avoid using cotton pads directly on the lashes as the fibres can get caught in them.
2. Apply the Cleanser:
• Apply a small amount of the lash cleanser to the cleansing brush or spoolie brush.
3. Cleanse the Lashes:
• Close your eyes and gently apply the cleanser to the lashes.
• Use a gentle, downward motion to brush through the lashes, starting from the roots to the tips.
• Ensure you clean both the top and underside of the lashes.
4. Rinse Thoroughly:
• Rinse your lashes with lukewarm water.
• Ensure all the cleanser is thoroughly removed to prevent any residue build-up.
5. Dry the Lashes:
• Pat your eyes gently with a lint-free cotton pad or a soft towel to remove excess water.
• Use a fan, cool hair dryer or let your lashes air dry.
• Avoid rubbing or tugging at the lashes during the drying process.
6. Brush and Maintain:
• Once the lashes are dry, use a clean spoolie brush to gently comb through the lashes to separate and shape them.
• Brush them daily to keep them looking neat and to prevent tangling.
Additional Tips:
• Clean your lashes every day, or twice per day if you wear heavy eye makeup.
• Avoid oil-based products around the eye area as they can break down the adhesive.
• Be gentle and avoid excessive touching ,pulling, rubbing or picking at the extensions.
• Schedule regular fills with your lash technician to maintain the look and health of your extensions.
By following these steps, you can keep your lash extensions clean, ensuring they last longer and look their best while also maintaining the health of your natural lashes and eyes.
Eyelash Extension Maintenance Policy
Importance of Regular Infills
At LB Sensei, we strive to provide the highest quality eyelash extension services to ensure you look and feel your best. To maintain the health and appearance of your lashes, it is essential to adhere to a regular infill schedule.
1. Infills Every 21 Days: We recommend scheduling eyelash extension infills every 21 days. This ensures that your lashes remain full, beautiful, and well-maintained. Regular infills prevent gaps, reduce the risk of damage to your natural lashes, and ensure a consistent appearance.
2. Full Set After 21 Days: If your infill appointment exceeds 21 days from your last visit, it will be considered a full set of lashes. This is because the natural shedding cycle of your lashes means more extensions will have fallen out, requiring more time and effort to restore the desired look.
Daily Cleaning and Lash Health
Proper cleaning and maintenance of your eyelash extensions are crucial to prolong their lifespan and maintain eye health.
1. Daily Cleaning: We require clients to clean their eyelash extensions daily using a lash bath kit purchased from our salon. This helps remove oils, dirt, and makeup residue that can weaken the adhesive and cause premature shedding.
2. Removal and Fresh Set: If it is evident that your lashes have not been cleaned daily with our recommended lash bath kit, we may need to remove your current set and apply a fresh set of extensions. This policy ensures the highest hygiene standards and the best possible results for your extensions.
Why This Policy Matters
- Lash Health: Regular infills and proper cleaning prevent damage to your natural lashes and reduce the risk of infections or irritations.
- Aesthetic Consistency: Maintaining a consistent schedule ensures your lashes always look full and beautiful.
- Longevity: Proper care extends the life of your extensions, providing better value and satisfaction.
Thank you for choosing LB Sensei for your eyelash extension needs. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these policies, which help us deliver the best possible service to all our clients. If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.

To ensure the best results from your micropigmentation (eyebrow tattoo) treatment, it’s important to follow these pre-treatment guidelines. Proper preparation not only helps the procedure go smoothly but also ensures your skin is in optimal condition for the best possible outcome.
What to Avoid Before Your Eyebrow Tattoo:
1. Alcohol and Caffeine:
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours before your appointment. These can thin the blood and increase bleeding, which may affect pigment retention.
2. Blood-Thinning Medications:
- Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and other blood-thinning medications for 48 hours before your treatment (unless prescribed by a doctor). These can increase bleeding and may interfere with pigment absorption.
3. Facials, Peels, and Exfoliation:
- Refrain from getting facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or exfoliating treatments on the brow area for at least 2 weeks before your procedure. This ensures that your skin is not overly sensitive or irritated.
4. Botox and Fillers:
- If you’re planning on getting Botox or dermal fillers in the brow or forehead area, make sure you do this at least 2-3 weeks prior to your treatment, as these can alter the shape and positioning of your brows.
5. Retinol and Vitamin A Products:
- Stop using retinol, Vitamin A, or other anti-aging/skin renewal products on the brow area for at least 2 weeks before your treatment. These can make the skin more sensitive and prone to bleeding.
6. Sun Exposure and Tanning:
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least a week before your appointment. Sunburned or damaged skin will not retain pigment as well and could lead to complications during the healing process.
7. Waxing and Threading:
- Do not wax or thread your eyebrows at least 3 days prior to your appointment. This allows the skin time to recover and reduces the risk of irritation during the tattoo process.
How to Prepare for Your Treatment:
1. Hydrate:
- Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment. Hydrated skin heals better and holds pigment more effectively.
2. Clean Skin:
- Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Make sure your brow area is free of any lotions, oils, or makeup products.
3. Know Your Style:
- You are welcome to bring reference photos if you have a specific look in mind. However, trust your technician’s expertise to guide you toward a shape that suits your face and features. We only offer extremely natural brows.
4. Plan Your Schedule:
- Keep in mind that your brows will be darker and more defined immediately after treatment. Plan any important events at least a week or two after your appointment to allow time for healing.
5. No Exercise:
- Avoid strenuous exercise 24 hours before the procedure, as this can increase blood flow and may lead to more bleeding during the treatment.
6. Patch Test:
- You must undergo a patch test. Make sure to get a patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment to rule out any potential allergic reactions to the pigment.
Other Important Considerations:
Micropigmentation during pregnancy or while breastfeeding is not allowed, as hormonal changes can affect pigment retention and healing. Additionally, there is a risk that the baby could have an allergic reaction to the pigments.
- Skin Conditions: If you have eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis around the brow area, wait until the skin is clear before booking your appointment.
By following these guidelines, you’ll ensure that your skin is in the best possible condition for your micropigmentation treatment. This will help achieve the best results and make the healing process smoother.

Yay! You’ve finally got your new permanent makeup! Here’s everything you need to know about caring for it to ensure it heals beautifully and lasts as long as possible.
For the first few days, your permanent makeup will look more intense than expected. Don’t worry—this is part of the healing process. The pigment is oxidizing, which makes the surface appear much darker. Expect your brows to fade by 20-30%. During the first 72 hours, your permanent makeup will be at its darkest. As the healing progresses, the dark surface will begin to flake off. By the second week, your permanent makeup will be considerably lighter and softer, so trust the process. The colour will come back through, and the final result will be worth the wait!
Day of Treatment:
- Cleansing: With clean hands, gently cleanse the treated area with a few drops of the provided microtonic water on a damp cotton pad every 2 hours. After cleansing, pat dry with a clean tissue or cotton pad.
Day 2:
- Cleanse 3 times per day using the same method.
Day 3 to Day 14:
- Cleanse twice a day (morning and night), then apply a thin layer of healing microbalm (pea-sized amount) to the treated area. Continue this routine for 14 days.
- Be cautious not to pull away any scabbing or flakes. Allow them to come off naturally. Picking at the flakes can lift the pigment and lead to scarring, uneven healing, and poor pigment retention.
What to Expect During Healing:
- Flaking and Peeling: It’s completely normal for the treated area to look darker and flake off over time. As your skin regenerates, the new layer will make the pigment look softer and lighter. By the second week, your permanent makeup will appear patchy and uneven. This is temporary—your skin acts like a veil over the pigment during this phase. Once it fully heals, the colour and shape will settle.
- Avoid Picking: Picking at flaking skin can pull pigment out and may result in scarring. It is crucial to let the skin heal naturally.
- Sweat and Water: Avoid exercise for 7 days post-procedure, as the salt in your sweat can draw the pigment out of your skin, similar to a saline removal. Once the flaking has stopped and your skin is intact, you can resume normal activities. Similarly, avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, and direct water pressure on the treated area.
Makeup and Skincare:
- No Makeup: Avoid wearing makeup around the treated area for 3 weeks. Makeup brushes and sponges harbor bacteria that can cause infection, leading to poor pigment retention and delayed healing.
- Skincare Products to Avoid: Do not use any skincare products containing retinol, acids (glycolic, lactic, salicylic, or mandelic acids), benzoyl peroxide, or exfoliants near the treated area. These ingredients can irritate the healing skin and cause pigment to migrate or fade prematurely.
- SPF Protection: After healing, apply a strong SPF to the treated area when exposed to the sun. UV exposure can cause your pigment to fade faster, so protecting the area with sunscreen is essential.
Post-Care Restrictions:
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Keep the treated area out of direct sunlight for the first 14 days. After this period, using SPF is crucial to maintaining the vibrancy of your permanent makeup.
- No Touching or Rubbing: Avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching the treated area. Any unnecessary contact can introduce bacteria or cause irritation.
- No Chemical Treatments: Refrain from any chemical peels, facials, or laser treatments near the treated area for at least 4-6 weeks. These procedures can interfere with the healing process and affect the final results.
Follow-Up Appointment:
At 6 weeks post-procedure, it is recommended to return for a follow-up appointment. This review allows me to see how your permanent makeup has healed. Any areas where pigment hasn’t retained can be fixed during this session. If you don’t book your follow-up within 8 weeks, your touch-up will be charged as an annual colour boost.
Longevity of Your Permanent Makeup:
The longevity of your permanent makeup depends on your skin type and lifestyle. Those with oily skin or who exercise frequently may need a colour boost sooner than those with dry or normal skin. If you’ve had previous brow tattooing or microblading, even if it was a long time ago, it may cause microscopic scar tissue that can affect your healing and retention.
Common Concerns:
- Patchy Appearance: As your brows heal, they may appear patchy or uneven. This is normal. Your skin is regenerating new cells, and it can look uneven during this time. Once healed, the colour will even out, and the shape will refine.
- Colour Changes: During the healing process, the pigment can look much lighter and softer. It may seem like you’ve lost some colour, but it will resurface as your skin regenerates.
